3U CompactPCI
Mass Storage modules
Concurrent Technologies announces
a 3U CompactPCI® mass storage module and optional expansion
board, which together can support up to four 2.5” Serial
ATA300 (SATA-II) mass storage drives plus a CompactFlash™
site. The TP MS1/x11 SATA300 Controller board accommodates
two drives plus a CompactFlash site. Expansion to three or
four SATA300 drives is achieved by the addition of the TP
MS1/100 Expansion board. Hardware and software RAID 0 and 1
is supported. This product enables the integration of SATA300
mass storage drives into a 3U CompactPCI system, where
performance, functionality, power, space and cost are key
elements. Commercial and extended temperature versions are
now available and ruggedized air cooled versions will be
available shortly; in harsher environments solid-state Flash
drives or ruggedized rotating drives may be installed. The TP
MS1/xxx family is ideal for a variety of applications
particularly within the defence, industrial, and
transportation markets.

45nm
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor based platform
Concurrent Technologies announces the release of one of the
first critical embedded products based on Intel’s 45nm process
technology and the latest DDR3 memory devices. The PP 512/06x
a single slot 6U CompactPCI processor board uses the latest
high performance mobile dual core processor from the Intel
embedded roadmap, the 2.53 GHz Intel® Core™2 Duo processor
T9400. The board is ideal for CPU intensive processing
applications whereby the processor’s dual cores can access up to 8 Gbytes of on board DDR3 dual channel SDRAM
at up to 16 Gbytes/s. As a single slot solution, this
combination of high performance data processing, and a range
of I/O interfaces, plus two PMC/XMC sites ensures that the
PP 512/06x is an ideal choice for processing intensive applications,
particularly within the communications, security, telemetry,
scientific and aerospace markets.

Dual Display XMC Graphics Adaptor, Commercial or Rugged
Concurrent
Technologies announces a high-performance dual display
video/graphics XMC based adaptor. The XM 403/x33 is a
high-resolution XMC graphics adaptor supporting a variety of
Digital Flat Panel (DFP) or analog CRT devices in single or
dual display configurations; the DFP and CRT can be driven
simultaneously with the same image or different image
sources. As well as computer graphics the XM 403/x33 supports
HD-TV (1080p), PAL, NTSC and SECAM as video output, and as
video input (except HD-TV). The video input also supports
video capture and video streaming; this source can be
overlayed onto the display output. The XM 403/x33 is designed
to add graphics functionality into a single-width XMC slot on
the host board. Commercial and extended temperature versions
are now available and ruggedized, conduction cooled or air
cooled, versions will be available shortly. Applications for
this family of boards are expected within the defense,
industrial control, transportation and various embedded
markets.

Quad Port 10/100/1000 Ethernet XMC Adaptor
Concurrent Technologies announces the release
of the first of a series of XMC mezzanine cards – the XM
510/x24 - a quad port gigabit Ethernet adaptor, supporting
1000Base-T, 100Base-Tx and 10Base-T. Where performance,
functionality and space are key elements, the XM 510/x24 can
be installed on a suitable host board, e.g. CompactPCI®, VXS,
VPX or VME to provide four network ports within a single-width
XMC site. Commercial and extended temperature versions are
available and ruggedized, conduction-cooled or air-cooled,
versions will be available shortly. The board is suitable for
applications requiring high-speed data throughput and
lower-latency communications; target embedded markets include
industrial control, telecommunications and defense.

Conduction-Cooled
VME Dual PMC/XMC SBC, 1.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
For harsh operating environments Concurrent Technologies
introduces a VME64 single board computer supporting a
dual-core processor, IEEE 1101.2 conduction-cooling and dual
PMC/XMC sites. The single-slot VP 417/031-RC uses the latest
mobile dual core processor and server chipset from the Intel
embedded roadmap – combining the performance of the 1.5 GHz
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor with the Intel® E7520 server
class chipset interfacing with up to 4 Gbytes of soldered DDR2
ECC SDRAM at up to 6.4 Gbytes/s. The VP 417/031-RC family is
I/O compatible with the popular and long standing VP
315/021-RC family and gives an even greater improvement in
measured performance/watt. With two PMC/XMC sites, suitable
for a wide range of ANSI/VITA 20 modules, the board also
includes extensive I/O functionality and can support VITA
31.1. The VP 417/031-RC is well suited to conduction-cooled
applications within the transportation, industrial control,
telemetry, defense, security, and aerospace markets.
